PayShield is designed so your financial data never has to leave your device.

What we collect

The core app runs entirely in your browser. Bank CSV files you import are parsed locally. Recurring-payment data is stored in your browser’s localStorage. We do not receive your transactions, account numbers, or CSV contents.

What we do not do

• We do not ask for bank usernames or passwords.
• We do not use Plaid or any bank-linking API.
• We do not upload your CSV to our servers.
• We do not sell your data.

Optional analytics

If analytics are enabled on the hosted site, they only measure anonymous page views (for example, whether someone opened the homepage). They do not include transaction details.

Payments (Pro)

If you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by a third-party processor (such as Stripe or Lemon Squeezy). We receive only what is needed to unlock the product (typically your email and payment status), not your bank CSV.

Your control

You can delete all local data at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings, or by using any “clear data” control in the app.
